The company was started as Bonnier Music Scandinavia in May,1999. After only one year Bonnier Music became one of the leading record companies in Sweden.
In addition to the traditional record business the company has developed new
and complementary business areas within for example music rights (publishing) and e-commerce. The new company Bonnier Music & Entertainment AB includes Bonnier Music, Bonnier Music Publishing/Production, RedElvis (entertainment shopping site, www.redelvis.com) and Bonnier Music Norway and Denmark.
